This has never been connected to anything, judging by the dust on it. It’s the connector at 9 o’clock in the pic.

My car is a 2009 V8V however I’m thinking they used the same wiring loom for convertibles and possibly late 4.3 cars.

My thoughts so far are convertible hood or suspension related.

Most car manufacturers have redundancy in their harnesses for options and sometimes territorial differences. Depending on the volumes they balance the cost of redundancy (unused wires, connectors and assembly time) against the cost and complexity of multiple harnesses. Aston, being a small, low-volume manufacturer will have fewer discrete harness and more redundancy than most, so it's for an unused option or build configuration of some sort.

If you don't get an answer then note the wire colours and see if you can find a wiring diagram. Also, call me stupid, but I can't work out exactly the area of the car that your photo covers.

It’s the near side (UK) rear wheel arch area

I think it would be for the DMTL pump to do with evaps and the carbon canister. It is redundant on UK cars.

Thanks YT - very helpful. It is right next to the fuel vapour canister so makes sense.

Jonny, it's for the rear bulletproof screen, which you obviously don't have as an optional extra.
