I am after a new display for my studio. It's for mainly static stuff, and wont be used for gaming.

Whats the pros and cons for both?

TAI.

With the 40" TV you definitely need some software to let you easily subdivide the screen into virtual screens. Lots of programs and web pages scale to bigger screens by spreading all the buttons out and padding the content; eg I'm looking at eBay on a 28" 4k display and it manages to fill only 1/3rd of the screen with items, the rest is white space.

With the 32" screen you only probably need the software. I think you do.

I think the perfect setup is 2 x 32" screens, with one horizontal split in two and one vertical split in two or three.

I think I got seduced by plugging my laptop into my 40" 4k TV in our bedroom, I think it would be over kill.

I went for the 32" Benq.... seemed to get slightly better reviews than the Samsung

Hi,

had a similar dilemma and went for a Philips 328P 4k - it supports USB-C (which also powers the laptop) and also acts as a hub (for usb and ethernet).

Overall very pleased and would recommend.

That would be a nice feature, but not many seem to come with that feature.

Happy so far with the Benq.... the picture quality is absolutely amazing. Supplied cables are very short though which is annoying but not a deal breaker.
