Most big shows have been cancelled, Riat, Farnborough etc... but Bournemouth is still technically on, at end of August, probably others as well

The red arrows have no displaya scheduled but i assume they could still perform displays later in the summer, if allowed.

I would love there to be some shows, but is it likely at all?...

If we're lucky there might be something at Old Warden towards the end of the summer / early autumn.

Agree with this.
Social distancing measures will be impossible to enforce. I can't see any mass gatherings of public being allowed at all for the rest of this year at any events, and probably through the winter.

Agreed.

Nothing until Spring 2021 in my opinion.

Wow!!! The Catalina is one aeroplane I would never have expected to see on the ground at Old Warden.

I was just about to mention this one as it popped up on my FB feed .
I must really make the effort to visit soon as I haven't been for almost 40 years or more .
It used to be a regular haunt when I lived at Shortstown opposite the hangers at Cardington .

Novel requirement: 'Ensure you have a working FM radio. Our commentator and pre-show music/information will broadcast on Station 87.8 ‘Shuttleworth FM’.' I suppose the tannoys don't have the range - but if that is the case, ho much will you see?

Air show radio has been around for many years.

I went to an airshow at Shuttleworth last year and I was able to watch the display from my motorhome. If you stay in your vehicle for any reason, you can tune the vehicle radio in to the commentary.

Same principle as a drive in movie.

About 20 years ago, they were handing out little radios and earpieces for free at Farnborough. They have also been used at Goodwood.

Duxford September show is on (and extended to three days).
