Covid and Organised Crime...

Having watched The Sopranos fairly recently, and currently 6 seasons through Sons of Anarchy, how is Covid affecting the Mafia / Motorcycle Clubs / other crime syndicates / Cartels etc?

If someone is involved in "a whacking" (as a whacker), do they wear PPE when they dispose of the body?

Are Mafia bosses observing social distancing when drinking espresso or are they still hugging and kissing each other on the cheeks?

During the manufacture of crystal meth, is only one person allowed in the motorhome at a time?

It's all very well not being allowed to visit a garden centre or send your kids to school, but imagine having to dispose of a 25 stone snitch on your own. Bloody hard work.

Bet nobody has thought of these people & what they are going through.

Not as glamorous, but a lot of the organised crime in the UK seems to be county lines drugs gangs

I have a relative in the serious organised crime squad who says the drugs gangs are still operating. I’m sure they care very little for the peddlers and their health

When the tsunami hit Japan in 2011 the Yakuza got stuck in and provided help and relief to the local population.
They are sort of tolerated by Japanese society and law enforcement.

Crime rates down as fears of Covid continue.

I was listening to a doctor talking about when the end of precautions might happen. His view was that we could see Covid as permanent, it will not be defeated, in just the same way as flu comes back year on year, even with a flu jab, any new vaccine developed for Covid will only work on known Covid 19 strains and it is evolving all the time, just as flu evolves all the time.

Organised crime will adapt, certain of it.
