Getting back into day trading - Which platform nowadays?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Thought i would start getting back into the markets. doing some research today on platfroms. Previously i always used HL (Hargreaves Landsdown). However iii seems appealing.
From prior experience HL were always great regards customer service and executing trades over the phone if need be
Ideally i would be looking to open a trading account and a ISA also. So would also need to consider the fees.
Ideally looking for ease of use, reliable, capable and reliability.
Anyone have personal experience with iii?
Thank you,

I have just got into trading since being laid off.
I’m using H&L. Fees were quite high last month but as I traded over 20 times in the month I have dropped to the cheaper rate for this month. I have found the app quite good, loads of info and easy to use. Negatives are I have found couple of times trying to deal can’t get a price especially in the first 10 mins of markets opening.
7% up last month.
I have IG spreadbetting account as well but haven’t really used it much yet. Spreadbetting scares me a bit.
I think the charts are much better and it does seem a little quicker.
Also a stocks and shares ISA is tax free and you can put £20k into it. Trade exactly the same as the fund share account.

Thanks for replying. I have decided to stick with HG also. But i need access to a platform where i can get site of the rising shares first thing in the morning.I’m using H&L. HG does not have a 'ALL AIM' list of stocks regards its Indices which is a pain. I usually head straight to the risers, but like i mentioned i need to find a decent sub where i can get this information. Not 15mins delay, so i am happy to spend a monthly fee to gain access
'London South East' seems to be able to provide this, but have you seen the cowboys on those forums. Wow is all i can say.,,,
I am a penny shares type of guy. In and out. I did spreadbetting in the past and found it mega stressful at times when the market moves fast,
