Okay so I took my window apart yesterday and put new handles on. Now how the heck are you supposed to adjust the window mechanism? Can anyone explain in very small words to me please. I'm a bit thick.

Cheers,
Richard.

might be worth a look: not sure how good a guide it is/if it's the right thing though

It's a complete fiddly b*stard of a job.

The link above is excellent but it's still a fiddle-arse of a job to do. Easiest if you take off the doorcard completely, then pull out the rubber sealing strip along the top of the window aperture on the door too. I think there's an access bung on the end rear face of the door also which you can open up and see into.

If you can get one of those long handled dentist/SAS type mirrors and a long bendy screwdriver that will help.

Also arms like an Orang Utan, hands like Jeremy Beadle and a second wrist or elbow joint would be useful!

Thanks for the replies - that link refers to "an oval shaped lobe on the window mechanism". Couldn't find this bit. Is it supposed to be evident?
