Advice needed - 3 door fun hatch, up to 35k miles, 5 yrs old

Hi,

I need some advice please! I am after a 3 door(maybe small 5 door) fun hatch that is pretty poky (160+BHP) that will not break the bank in running costs or reliability issues. Also needs to be ok on a decent drive.

Ideally max 5 years old, 35k miles, ideal budget about £7-8k. Is this realistic?

Fiesta st180, simple remap takes it to 225bhp approx and up to 240 with hardware.

Will beat most other hot hatches at that price range and is insane fun and very reliable.

Thanks for the replies all, feel like a 208 GTI would be nice, also slightly more left-field than a fiesta ST!

I love the 208gti and would have one over an ST. You just don't see many around, probably because every one bought an ST due to the sharper drive and rave reviews. But there's no doubt the 208 is a great car. When new it was more money than the fiesta which is another reason it always came second best. But used they're actually cheaper. Nicer interior and very well suited to daily driving.
