I had this on the front first floor balcony, together with Old Glory, to wind up the little Englanders opposite sporting the flag of St. George, but my wife asked me to move Le Tricoleur.
The female little Englander reversed into my wife’s car some ten years ago and denied it, but someone in our street had seen it, and told us.
We won the ensuing court case, and although I eventually returned to speaking to the offenders, my wife never forgave them, and froze them out.

If you had listened to any speeches of Churchill during the war years you would understand that he always regarded our intervention in war as a collaboration with the French Republic. He would have been proud to see the Tricolour flown on VE day.
He would have been disgusted with your motives.

I don’t that he would have been disgusted, there was absolutely zero malice in my flying of Le Tricoleur, and I flew it with pride, just as I do every Bastille Day.He would have been proud to see the Tricolour flown on VE day.
He would have been disgusted with your motives.
I could flesh the reasons out, but I doubt that any one would be interested, and I’d sooner forget it.
