Nope, but as a big fan of the Power RS+ I would be keen to try them out.

I really liked the Power RS. Never tried the + version.
But I switched to Metzeler Racetec RR for more track use and the very occasional road ride.

I would have no problem trying out the GPs as I really liked the RS.

Spoke to the tyre place I use today and enquired about a set of Supercoras or the new Michelin GP's.

£308 for a set of Supercorsa V3's fitted to loose wheels.
£248 (iirc) for a set of GP's fitted to loose wheels.

Apparently Michelin are running their £30 cashback deal again from the 1st of June too. So for a little over £200 for a set if GP's I think I might be the guinee pig who tries them out.

Me? Fireblade, aggresive road rider. Had RS and RS plus previously but understand they have been discontinued. New line up would suggest the GP to be the one to replace it for me

They are going on a S1000R.
At the moment it will just be fast road (I hate that term) riding with a bit of track riding later in the year hopefully.

I ran Power RS+ on my last S1000R and was pretty impressed with them. I havent tried Supercorsas out on this bike yet and fancied giving them a try.

After a google and reading reviews I have put power 5's the new tyres from Michelin on my H2. mainly for a tour I should be going on as I would be doing 2k over a long weekend and autobahn speeds.

Done around 150 miles on them and very impressed they are very good in the corners wink

After a bit more digging it would seem to me that the Power GP is the same tyre as the RS but with a different name. ??

I asked this question to the tyre guy yesterday.

I've used him for years and he's not one for BS so I tend to believe what he has to say.

He was supposed to go to the launch of the tyre at Cartagena I think it was? Back in March, but that was obviously cancelled.

What he told me was.

If you take the new Power 5 and GP, and RS+ the Power 5 would sit slightly below the RS and the GP slightly above the RS ie, slightly more track biased but still predominantly a road tyre with occasional track use.

Hope so that's exactly what I was wanting. I will sacrifice a bit of mileage for a bit of grip.

Anybody tried the Power GP's yet?

I don't know if there is a shortage of front tyres at the moment? But the place I always use has rears in stoxk but can't get hold of any fronts until 16th July.

Luckily that works out OK for me as the bike is in for a service on the 17th and then I'm booked in at Croft 2 weeks later.

Finally managed to get a set of the Power GP's fitted today.

Other than riding a couple of miles to the petrol station and back I havent had a chance to try them out properly yet. Initial impressions are that they do tip in a lot quicker than the Bridgestone S21's that were on there previously.

£260 fitted to loose wheels and once the £30 is claimed back from Michelin that will drop the overall cost down to £230 which is pretty decent.
