A bloke around the corner from me has a Z4, but the normal blue and white BMW badge is Red and Black like this :

Is there any significance to these colours on a replacement badge or is it just he doesn't like Blue and White? biggrin

I did Google and I found loads for sale, but no answer to this question.

They just look a bit chav IMO.

But might be vaguely OK on a red or black car, possibly!

Maybe he's a Bournemouth FC supporter?

Don't much like these, nor the carbon ones.

But they're not as bad as some who take the whole 'colour tinting' to include the same colour on the dash, plastics & steering wheel!!!

That's a no, then? biggrin

I can't say if he's a chav or not (I suspect not, he's probably a retiree), I just wondered if the colours had any significance as it seemed rather odd to change them in such a way (Aren't red Ford badges associated with AVO products or did I fall prey to a hoax on that?)

If there's no relevance, I don't see any point myself.

Some similarities there I think.

Personally speaking, I think the car with the red dash panel looks a lot better than the car with the black dash panel (the first car's interior is just too BMW/German dour black!). It's not over-done, unlike this from the Ferrari factory:

Now that's just too much red!

He’s from the former Soviet Union and yearns for the return of EMW who were the wrong side of the curtain and used a version of BMWs roundel with the blue bits in red.

More likely he’s a chav. Does he have the M colours on the grille spars to complete the image?

It’s the old EMW badge colours, but really it’s just eBay tat.

As I said. I've just noticed the area that should be white and the area that should be blue have been flipped... Which makes it even more tat-like.
