No doubt this has been asked a million times before. I’m considering McLaren ownership but have a relatively slim garage.

It measures 2m10 at the door and 2m50 inside. I have managed to fit a Lotus Exige no problems but I suspect that’s a fair bit slimmer and has normal doors.

Is it remotely viable that I could fit a 12c in, and if not how easy would it be to clamber out of a spider? My preferred model anyway.

Suspect you're going to struggle but still doable.

A 570S is c. 2.6m wide with one door fully open.

I doubt 12 is smaller.

Good news is you don't need door full open to get out.

I am sure other can advise as well.

Looks like 650 spider (I guess same as the 12c) is 2.093m wide with mirrors, so you could drive in. But then it’s 2.59m wide with one door open: (3.087-2.093)/2 + 2.093. You’d have to clamber out with a door partly open, which is possible. Best to try it during a test drive.

Again: the 12C mirrors fold so the car is narrower & fits through a 7 ft garage door - you then need at least 18 inches to scramble out - window down helps - the door does not need to be fully open

It means your garage ideally needs to be wider on one side than the other

I think I last posted this about a month or two ago when there was yet another extensive discussion - there's a huge amount of information in this section - spend hours reading it

I have a slightly different issue with the doors and my parking space. Does anyone have a measurement from the front bumper to the rear of the door? I assume this is a shorter distance than from the back bumper to the front edge of the doors. Thanks for any info.

So, is there anyone in the Berkshire (Bracknell) area that might be willing to visit and see if my garage would accommodate a 12c, social distancing etc maintained. ???
