Hello all, I'm looking for some advice.
During the current pandemic I cant speak to a bmw specialist to see what the issue could be.

My partners window wash is working for the back window wiper but not the front? We topped up screen wash from halfords but theres not even noise coming from the jets that you would normally hear. I'm seeing alot of having to take the front apart practically.

Is there any easy way to fix this?

If there's no noise at all, suggests the pump isn't working.

Might be a fuse? Might be that you need a new windscreen washer pump?

Does the headlight wash system work?

I don’t know if your washer bottle is in the same place as mine on my 56 plate 3 series but if so it’s at the back of the drivers side front (rhd) wheel arch, under the arch liner and wedged between the outer and inner wing. Pumps aren’t expensive and fairly easy to change. Mines a coupe so I’m not sure if one pump does the front and rear screens or if there are two.
If you go ahead and swap it yourself, when the pumps out prize the rubber bung out of the bottle as well. It’s a plastic filter and will more than likely be gummed up with a disgusting jelly! Clean and replace.

If your motor is ok then it might be blocked with slime in the washer bottle, BMW genuine screenwash fluid does not mix well with ordinary fluid, often forming a nasty gel which clogs the pump screen.

Firstly try flushing it out with a hosepipe, if you have a wet vac then empty it using tape or whatever to connect a pipe small enough to reach the bottom.
