BT infinity upload speed

standard for an asymmetric connection
when you download using tcp you are sending ack packets in return, they are much smaller than the data packets, they can be up to an 80th the size, but that does mean for a 30 gigabit download you need to have available a good 400k of upload just to make it work, if you saturate your upload then your download suffers a lot.

I used to work getting my hands dirty with Infrastructure so the async part was what I thought it was.when you download using tcp you are sending ack packets in return, they are much smaller than the data packets, they can be up to an 80th the size, but that does mean for a 30 gigabit download you need to have available a good 400k of upload just to make it work, if you saturate your upload then your download suffers a lot.
Maybe videos on youtube have just got too darn big now based on size/quality and I am getting too old to realise.
