So my home office setup for the last 8 years has been a 27" iMac and a Dell 27" monitor.

I've recently changed to being self employed so have purchased a MacBook Pro 13" to use when i'm out and about. I'm looking at selling the iMac and Dell monitor and buying a larger widescreen monitor to replace them and looking to connect my MacBook to it wirelessly as an extended display. I've been doing this quite successfully in the living room with my 65" Samsung Qled so want a similar setup in my office.

Any recommendations on monitor?

I picked up a Dell U3818DW curved widescreen as they are offering a decent discount (they also offer a 48” version)

It’s great with the MacBooks as the USB cable will deliver power and connect the screen and connected USB devices through a USB-C port, leaving your other USB-C port free

Ended up going for this. Anything smaller than a 49" would be less screen than i'm used to. Also I work off 2 laptops so the double input at the same time seemed a clever feature.

I'm guessing it's the same actual screen as the Dell 49", if so should be great

Looking forward to getting it. The sale of the iMac will cover a good portion of it's cost.

The photos of peoples home working setups on here made me pull the trigger lol.

Where did you find that.

Mrs V has a Dell version that will have to go back to the office when she doesnt return after lock-down.

But she wants one for home use.

Was on ejobber. I was going to buy direct from Samsung as I get 15% off via my wife's work but they don't have stock. Googled it and ejobber were £25 cheaper than even the discounted price. Never used them before but paid via PayPal so should be golden.
