Anyone got any suggestions for a drivers side vent mount for my phone? Want one that looks relatively discreet...

What do you guys use?...

I've been a fan of Brodit mounts, they just clip on (usually around the vents) without needing screwing or drilling, but are more permanent than one that just clips onto the vent slats.

I've had both Brodit and Kenu (normal and large) mentioned above and both are excellent. Only problem with the Brodit is you need a new product every time you change car and/or phone, which is why I went for the universal Kenu.

I've bought Brodit mounts for three cars and whilst I think they are just about the best out there, they are quite expensive once the costs of bracket and holder are added up. They're also very obvious from outside the car and, for my cars at least, were available only for the centre vents, not the driver's side vent as asked for by the OP.

I can easily transfer my Kenu mount from car to car and remove and hide it when I'm not in the car.

Although it should be pointed out, you need a new clip, but not a new cradle. You can swap the cradle to the new clip when you change cars.

I bought a £5 magnetic one from the petrol station

It’s great, the magnet is strong enough to work though the case and you barely notice the clip on vent mount when tour phones not on it

I’ve used it for a few months and even with spirited driving the magnet hold the phone on

And you need a new cradle when you swap phones (unless the new phone happens to be exactly the same form factor as the old one). Hence my point about needing a new product (clip or cradle) when you change your car or your phone.

This. Lots of choices on Amazon.

Had one fail, but it was when I used a dash mounted one and the 3M pad softened in the heat. Mount still stayed on phone.

the adjustable ones (for phones in cases) can fit more than one model.

Just be careful with the magnetic mounts if you use wireless charging as the magnets can interfere with charging.
