I don't know. Sold it 10 weeks ago, and have regretted it every single day since. It kind of made financial sense, although I didn't actually HAVE to sell it. It was the car I'd always wanted. Wife never liked it.

Dunno...

I've ordered a Porsche Cayman S, but if I'm honest, I'd rather have kept my 111S for this summer and PX'd it next year for a 111R. Strange, I'll pick up a new £45K Porsche in Feb '06 and I don't feel nearly as excited as I was when I picked up my first Elise, a new 2000/V S1.

good to hear that no one has said it was rubbish!

my gf hates the elise too and she's going to like it even less when she sees the driving position and how she'll have to get into it! not much i can do about that i guess so she'll just have to get used to it!

wahahahahahahahaha

Sold my Elan to buy an Elise
The Elise reached the end of its lease agremeent and I bought a BMW Convertible.
Promptly sold the BMW and bought an Esprit.
Sold the Esprit to get my current Elise!
Hope I'll never have to change it.

They're all fab - The Elan was my first and it was a cinch to drive, very nippy. Great engine, crap brakes crap hood. The Esprit was very expensive to run & maintain (mine was non turbo) but had a great image.
Of the lot my fave is the current elise. There's nothing to match it when you drive it with the roof off.

Sold mine 'cos it wasn't comfortable enough for the high mileage I was doing in it, and because the girlfriend was complaining about how difficult it was to get in and out of gracefully.

To get a Noble. The lack of overtaking power and understeer were beginning to grate and my friend offered me his old car at a fair price. I could have fixed the understeer (at 15%+ of the cars value!), but lack of overtaking power was a more expensive problem. Also fancied a change.

sold my s1 111s in 2003, only can be because of labotomy i must have had the week earlier, lived with regret ever since, even though I bought a new 996 c4s I made a big mistake. A man must have a 'stupid' car that you have to spend time justifying to the world! Enter the 340r.

(and there's another littl'un due in September.. I wonder what I'll buy myself this time?)
