Boring one, sorry.

Need a roof-mount TV aerial for a motorhome. The two options seem to be directional or not. Is there any reason why I wouldn't just go for the unidirectional version?

This, unless you’ve got no WiFi/4g.

If you must, directional is better I believe and a quick google seems to agree.

Get a signal tester too, don’t do a Rod Hull wink

I have a directional one on the caravan and after raising it I often have to turn on the booster too.

Not the best things in the world. Fitted a Blu-ray player with Netflix for when a don’t have Wi-Fi and B when I have it. I get a TV signal some of the time but try to never use it at all.

The unidirectional ones are pretty pants. Go for a Vision plus status 570 directional aerial and pair it with a vision plus vp5 booster. Best combination out there.

We have the Visionplus omnidirectional one on our MH and it's not been defeated yet. Works just fine.

I found the directional one on our last Moho to be a PITA as you always had to move it around to get the best signal (and remember to drop it when you left site). The new one is a breeze and works better imho...

Ive got a Milenco Power 900 Omnidirectional and it works fine. Backup is satellite and 4G, only would have a problem if youre in a dip + a large obstruction like a building in the way.

Replaced one with a Milenco and it was night and day. Our newer van has a directional aerial and it[s a pain in the arse.
