Afternoon all

My current bike theory pass expires on the 27th July, the DVSA are not planning on extending the dates if you theory for cars or bikes expires soon.

I want to get booked in to do by full bike license but I can’t find anywhere that I can book into at the moment, however I can probably get a CBT in the next few weeks.

If I do my CBT does this mean that my theory date doesn’t matter and I can progress to do my full license later on in the year? Or do I need to do the full license before the expiration date, if that makes sense.

This is the third time I have taken the theory and let it expire and I’m determined not to miss the boat again !

Many thanks

CBT and theory are separate entities, the only relation is that you need an in date theory + valid CBT to do Mod 1 and Mod 2 for the full license.

There's an interesting edge-case with it though; if you do your CBT + theory, then pass Mod 1, allow your theory to run out, then want to take Mod 2, you'll have to retake Mod 1 again first.

I do have an associate who has a car driving test "provisionally" booked with the local test center in late July. You'll probably have to retake it I'm afraid...
