Some great quotes - some altered
Discussion
“Peoples feet belong on car pedals” (Sir Stirling Moss)
“The older we get, the faster we were” (Sir Stirling Moss)
“People’s feet belong on car pedals” (Sir Stirling Moss)
“Better to lose honourably in a British car than win in a foreign one” (Sir Stirling Moss)
“If Lewis Hamilton wins a race he has to check his hair is not messed up & his diamond ear stud is still in place. If I won I’d try and chase a bit of crumpet” (Sir Stirling Moss with an alteration by A N Other)
“Aerodynamics are for people who can’t build engines” (Enzo Ferrari)
“I design my cars to go, not to stop” – Ettore Bugatti in response to Bentley’s criticism of Bugatti brakes.
“How have I won? By always being a little faster than the person in second place” (Juan Manuel Fangio)
Note how unashamedly patriotic Sir Stirling was. His being so anti-foreign always chimed with me but I guess with todays prissy sensitivities some chip-on-their-shoulder moaner will suggest he was being racist.

Those two comments are interesting given he chose to drive a german car for the mille miglia..... Note how unashamedly patriotic Sir Stirling was. One might almost think he was a pragmatic racing driver who was proud of his own country, not a nationalistic zealot who would not drive another nation’s cars.

I think a 'quote' stops being a 'quote' when you take what somebody has said and insert whatever you want within the inverted commas. Sir Stirling is not a puppet.
