Change in circumstances car - fun weekend?

So originally I was looking for a daily driver up to about 15k, the trouble is with my work I go onto a lot of building sites and the last nice car I had took a beating and so i would rather run a shi**er during the week and have something a bit more fun for the weekends. A performance petrol would be nice,

So please help me decide on some options and let me know any good / bad experiences you may have,

I have considered JCW minis which seem to have a nice spec on the F56 model, I feel 4 seats is a must, i looked at a mx5 / abarth spider but not sure how long i could live with the two seats. Golf GTI, I don't think i would get an R in budget and running costs would put me off,

Any suggestions welcome and may be others I may not have considered, the whole COVID situation has made me want some fun and something I can enjoy...

What's the budget? I'd say the Megane RS250/265/275 with the Cup Chassis.
