I'm looking someone to help me out. Currently I have I have 430d Msport looking to keep this and buy something with around 400bhp. Currently looking at e90 m3s and 2012 -14 c63 amg and m5s but might wait for M4 competitions to drop a bit in price. What would you reccomend not really to bothered about insurance and fuel Bill's more repair costs.

I'm going to pick a few leftfield options:

Panamera V8 S Manual

Auto

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

You'll have to De Barry it but this Evora is a cracking car & with it's power to weight ratio it's right up there.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Once lockdown is over keep an eye out for the RC-F you'll get the odd one close to your budget & they're a nice step on from the RC-F with running costs similar to a 440i.

IS-F

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

Mustang don't overlook these because they are a very good performance coupe with the upside of a great aftermarket scene so you can make it your own.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

Corvette C6 the only downside is LHD but they're a very sweet drive & simple to maintain.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chevrolet-Corvette-C6-6...

6.2 VXR8 four door version of the above

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

BMW M6 because a lot of people are afraid of the engine & box these are cheap, which (haggle the price down some more) leaves you room to get the preventative work done & you end up with a bombastic car that you can run with peace of mind & when you go to sell it on it'll be appealing to buyers.

XKR S

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

4.7 GranTurismo in S or MC Shift depending on usage they're not the cheapest to run

I get the appeal of the M3, but if it were me, an E92 M3 as a weekend car seems a bit too similar to your 430d daily driver. What do you plan on using the weekend car for? If practicality isn't an issue, an Elise / Cayman or similar are worth a look, and would give a great driving experience. (once the lockdown finishes, go and try one out! )

£25k e92 but would you when you can get them for £15k plus?

What are you thoughts on this car?

Primary question is being that there are non comp pack / individuals out there for a bit less is this a car to even consider?

you dont mention track and asking for power suggest straight line speed not handling as a preference

2015+ Mustang V8 / Camaro / Challenger

Edit:

Kia Stinger GTS 2017 car so still has 4 years of warranty left if you're concerned about repair costs on breakdowns.
400+bhp easily available with a removeable tuning box

In exactly the same position. Was also looking at 997’s but think I have settled on an E92 M3 as really want a V8 back in my life.

Struggling to work out whether I should go for one at £18kish or push the budget to early 20’s for a comp pack. Clearly a tricky time to buy as no test drives etc.

I've no car after getting shut of the model 3, I'm considering a 4.0 V8 C63. Doesn't seem much love out there for them though.

The cars you have suggested will feel almost identical to your 430d for 90% of the time. If youre going to have 2 cars, at least have a contrast.

Agree with both of you. I'd also want to mix it up a bit and get something much different to the daily.

There is the possibility I could change my daily if I saw something out of my price range and need to trade it in to make the difference. But my 430d has been super reliable and is a great practical daily for the motorway miles I'm doing to work.

25k is my max budget just because majority of m4s are around that range and I want to see if anyone can shoe me anything I've missed or not thought about

Not many tracks near where I live. I'm in Northern Ireland so track car wouldn't really be worth it it's a good 3-4 hour drive to my nearest good track and I wouldn't have enough free time to go often enough. I'm looking for a v8 really I love the sound and just something I know has the power to go when I want it too.
