B9 S4 Avant vs F30 340i

I was going the G20 m340i route but I’ve now convinced myself to save some extra cash and look at a used S4 Avant or 340i Touring instead.

Until recently I’ve always owned a Sportsbike, but now that’s gone I want my car to have a bit of punch to make up for the lack of speed in my life. After 8 years of F30 ownership (2 x 320d) I was hoping to try something different and the S4 Avant seems to tick all the boxes.

Sure the S4 is a little more bland than the BMW but it’s better equipped and a nicer place to sit. The car will be used as my daily, lugging around my bike, dog and the odd road trip.

Am I making a mistake moving away from the f30 just because it’s what I’ve driven for the last 8 years, or is the B9 S4 a worthy contender for a punchy practical daily?

Let me say this from the start you won't get that hit you're looking for from the car trust me I know (but it doesn't stop me from trying ) now that's over with I'd say test drive both which will tell you which one you want both are very good & capable cars.

There is a third option & that's the C43 AMG

Haha! Loved my 16 years messing about on bikes but don’t actually miss it that much. I would still love one in the garage for the odd blast - SuperDuke was my last bike.

Like the AMG but really want apple car play or android auto, and I need a facelift at circa 38k for that - as soon as I get to that price I might as well go for the M340i. The AMG does sound the best though.

Until you get the MPPSK installed on the 340i

Also takes it to (at least) 360bhp / 500NM.
