AMi I vs AMi II+ dash

Curious to hear from users your take on the AMI I vs AMi II/III dash re design. The update took place in most cars around 2016 and while it looks much more modern I feel it looks somewhat off or out of place? On the vantage/DB9 series the older style with more buttons and clock just seems to fit better to me.

I’m curious from a functionality point of view is it much better to use? On the used market the AMi II cars are a 20-30k jump in price so I’m wondering if it’s a must have or worth passing on.
