Hi, in the process of putting a TS50X back together and just broken a piston ring during re-assembly because I am a knob

The kit is made by airsal, but my question is - can I use any piston ring of the right size, or are there differences that I need to be aware of?

Get the correct part. There's usually tapers from the face to the inner

Is the ideal answer but.......

If you can source a ring from an identical bore piston and the replacement rings dimensions measure up, you should be ok.
Don't forget to put the ring 15mm into the bore and measure the ring gap and confirm it's in spec.

The ER50 was never a high performance machine and was mass produced with a degree of "interpretation" in the engine dimensions......
