Can anyone recommend a company to send an oil sample away to in order to measure for contaminants, specifically metals obviously and in particular copper?

Cheers in advance.

Just fix the engine.

In my experience, if you think its about to go pop, it generally will. (I've played the straw grasping game myself, lol).

Miller oils - check their website. They send a sample bottle and returns envelope. Results emailed very quickly.

I use these for hydraulic oils and turbine oils.

Not too expensive either. About £25 per sample.

ive used millers and blackstone. I thought blackstone were better, with a more comprehensive report and comment. I had to chase Millers and they sent me a email saying it was fine, i had to ask for the report with all the numbers. A few days later i realised it didnt include fuel so i asked them for that and they gave me a number by email. It all seemed a little crap tbh. Im probably an outlier lol.
