Borg warner gearbox fault

I am considering the purchase of a classic car, Morris isis of 1957 vintage. It is fitted with a borg warner gearbox (factory fit) with optional overdrive. The seller advises the gearbox overdrive is faulty, does anybody know the type number of the gearbox fitted into this car? Or wether the overdrive unit is mechanical or electric? Rhanks for any comment / advise.

It looks like it will be a specialist repair job if I go for the car, in which case ai need to add £1500 to the purchase price.I found a specialist twenty miles down the road to me who can do the job or recon’ the whole gearbox and o/d for £2500. It’s a lot of money on top of the price asked so time to think it over.
