Tomtom rider 550 screen

Hi all
I have the TomTom rider 550 sat nav, which I believe is also used on some bmw gs's.
It's been a while since I've used the bike, but the screen seems washed out, like all the colours which should be black are grey.

Does yours look similar? Has it changed in an update?

I've tried a factory reset, different brightness, different themes, the high contrast map setting, all with no improvement

Wondering if it's a fault, it's hard to see in motion, especially with sunglasses on.

1st picture is right after a reset with 100% brightness
2nd picture is 50% brightness
3rd picture is 50% brightness and high contrast

Looks knackered to me, just buy an ultimate addons case for your mobile and use that instead

It's not very old, they can fix it if it's broken!

Yeah that looks fked.

If I remember correctly you can process a warranty claim online. I seem to remember it taking ages for them to fix stuff too.

IME they are pretty good with repair or replace with faulty units (even out of warranty).

Just to cover this off, I've got to say, I'm impressed with their customer service.

Reported it via their customer service portal, a day of back and forth with software solution attempts before finally agreeing to a repair.

Postal label sent, dispatched on Monday to Romania, back with me by the Friday all fixed, tracking each way included and a description of the repair provided.

Happy with that
