Buying a car from abroad (Russia)

After seeing the thread on here for the UAZ I've now got a craving for a UAZ 452. There are plenty available online and for relatively cheap however I have no idea where to begin on buying from abroad, how would I buy, arrange shipping without getting done over?
Does anybody have any experience of doing this or know anybody who does?
