I had never considered one of these before but I saw the colour combination and just fell for it immediately and had to have it. I promised I’d part exchange one of the Maseratis but put the call in and totally forgot to do it and just ended up with an extra car. A rotten bit of luck I think you’d all agree! So currently I’m in the doghouse.

Anyway. Photos included and collection next Saturday. Interested on people’s thoughts on the combination given that most SLKs seem to be silver.

There can only have been a few in that colour!

It is a shame as the SLK looks so good in bolder colours.

Fellow 55 owner here and multiple thumbs up from my end, would not be surprised if the total production run for that colour is in the two or low three digits. Enjoy!

I am trying to work out what went down better,

"Hi Darling I have just bought a bronze car" or

"Hi Darling, would you believe it, I completely forgot to trade in the Maserati"

Lovey car but not sure about the colour to be honest.

Is it an original Mercedes colour?

I'm not a fan. Sorry.

We had a dark brown one up till November. We now have a dark silver that dealer managed to deliver end of March SLK Final edition premium or something or other .

I am a big fan of bronze / metallic brown or whatever you want to call it, very underrated colour on a lot of cars.

I love ‘out there’ colours, recently had a Nara Bronze RRS with matching interior, sounds horrid but received nothing but compliments from people when they saw it in the flesh.

This is such a great car, well done for forgetting p/ex - prices are at an all time low for p/ex anyway.......you saved money really! Lol!

Had a run across to Wilton House last Summer with Juice and it’s a thing of beauty to listen too!

Another SLK55 owner. Good move! Been out in mine both days this weekend and it is a lot of fun. The the noise is so addictive, and it is a brilliant overtaking car.

Not sure I’d have chosen the colour but if the car is a good one and you like it who cares what anyone else thinks. Enjoy it wink
