Which 911 to buy for £75K

Ok I now have the money to finally buy a 911 that I always said I would buy.
Original budget was around £40K. So I tried a 997.1 Carrera S and was underwhelmed
Then I tried a 991 2013 C4S and I must admit this is amazing , just about ideal as a part daily / weekend car
I have no intention of doing track days so road manners more important than ultimate grip. Also PDK over manual , too lazy for a manual now lol.
I was thinking 991.1 or .2 2S or C4S , the 4S appeals as it gives me the security 4 wheels drive , but is the 2S tail happy or pretty stable and worth looking at even for a novice Porsche driver.
But now people have said have a look at the GTS versions of the above
So question is what can I get for my money , around £70K, newer is better for me. And what should I buy 991 2S or 4S or GTS version ?
So confused as you also have to decide if you want NA 3.8 or Turbo 3.0
Also will a car at a Porsche dealer currently at £77.7k maybe come down to around below £70K once lockdown ends ?
Or should I go for a Mclaren as they are now within range ?
Any thought or ideas would be great as I am pretty confused tbh . Is and early 991 GT3 even worth looking at ?
Annual mileage around about 5-7K , Budget circa £70K ideally less but could push it to £75k. Also will need a Porsche warranty for peace of mind so if not from a OPC or out of warranty I will need to set aside around £3k for checks and warranty, is this enough?

There's a number of 991.1 911 GTS Coupe in the OPC network for under £75,000 (if you want peace-of-mind). Future residuals will be stronger than the mainstream model 911.1s and it's the most involving and cost-effective to run. The McLaren might look 'cheap' now but running costs are off the scale in relation to the 911.

Agree with the above. With the budget 991.1 GTS is the one to go for.These days there’s no significant difference between C2 and C4 in terms of security.
They have so many ‘nanny aids’.
Most people seem to prefer the C2 for greater simplicity and purity, but the C4 would have more traction in winter.
However, a C2 on winter tyres is better than a C4 on summer tyres in mid-winter conditions.

I think they are over £80 for even the cheapest. Remember I started at £40K and now I am at £70K lolEven if you have a small amount of finance.

But would a Base 992 be better than a 991.2 C4S?

I think the dilemma is 991.2 C4S for £70k on 17 plate v A 991.1 GTS 2S/4S ( not sure what I could get )Which is the better car ?

I’m biased but 991.1 GTS sounds perfect for this budget - not as fast as the 991.2 but the 3.8 N/A makes up for it in every other way
I must admit I do like the sound of the 3.8l. But the lure of a newer car appeals .

The one I have seen at dealers are
17 plate 991.2 C4S for £77K
13 plate 991.1 C4S for £60K
So my thought was buy the newer car and enjoy it as depreciation is quite slow. Of course all prices etc pre Covid

That was what I was hoping some one would say. My idea was put on a nice set of spur sticky tyres and go for a 2S and enjoy it as it will not b used in Winter as plenty of other cars to use as daily drivers . They have so many ‘nanny aids’.

But I agree a 2wd car with winter tyres beats a 4wd on summer tyres any day

Won't get much of a 991.1 GT3 for £75k. Perhaps a tatty one with high mileage though.

The annual warranty is the least of your worries and pales into insignificance cost wise compared to depreciation even on a 570s.Great if uninvolving package at the money but not to everyones tastes.
If you are contemplating one you need to spend some time in one as they are a totally different proposition to a 911.
