HI,

Thanks in advance.

My Aston Martin DB9 always starts first time every time without any problems, no message and no codes. However, if i switch the car off and then try and restart it within three minutes, the car will not start. In that three minute period, the start button will NOT illuminate red and the immobiliser has a red flashing light on the left of the dash.

After the three minutes, when i turn the key the start button illuminates and the car can be started. The dashboard will show the "emission service" message but once it has been erased it never comes up again unless i repeat the restart.

Lookin at the codes, it mentions PATS and PCM issue, but once cleared, again the codes only come back if I perform the restart.

I have tried both keys and still get the same problem.

The battery is still under guarantee and i keep it trickled charged when the car is not in use.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Mike
