Hmm, haven't had any contact from them even though we have flights booked last year for the near future.

Also haven't seen any random amounts appear on my credit card either.

Has the potential to be a messy one - though it was a lower number (2.2M) for the credit card details 'accessed' - not sure why it would be different unless the 9M is travellers rather than bookers.....

It is also likely to have have happened a while ago & just discovered / reported.

They'll apparently inform all affected customers within the next week - but slightly worrying as I must be on every database they have - I fly with them a lot & EasyJet+ & FlightClub....

Slight error there - the quoted number is actually 2,208. So only 1000x out...

It might be nice to have some details of how this happened and maybe if it covers a certain time period, big difference between whether someone was scraping the live pages recently through an added nasty, or the backend was leaking. Also whether it only affects people who had an account login to use direct, or anyone who had a booking made via any route as they aren't the same at all.

It certainly didn't affect everyone as 9 million is a fraction of the customer details they hold.

I'll look out for an email though I haven't used them for a few years now.

It happened in January FFS and they've only just admitted it.

You're not supposed to talk about FlightClub.

Got my email this morning - could have been worse

from Easyjet said:
Our investigation found that your name, email address, and travel details were accessed for the easyJet flights or easyJet holidays you booked between 17th October 2019 and 4th March 2020. Your passport and credit card details were not accessed, however information including where you were travelling from and to, your departure date, booking reference number, the booking date and the value of the booking were accessed.

Exactly. It's the only damned rule there is.

Can’t say I’m too concerned, seems the main threat is phishing scams.
