Has the potential to be a messy one - though it was a lower number (2.2M) for the credit card details 'accessed' - not sure why it would be different unless the 9M is travellers rather than bookers.....
It is also likely to have have happened a while ago & just discovered / reported.
They'll apparently inform all affected customers within the next week - but slightly worrying as I must be on every database they have - I fly with them a lot & EasyJet+ & FlightClub....

Slight error there - the quoted number is actually 2,208. So only 1000x out...It might be nice to have some details of how this happened and maybe if it covers a certain time period, big difference between whether someone was scraping the live pages recently through an added nasty, or the backend was leaking. Also whether it only affects people who had an account login to use direct, or anyone who had a booking made via any route as they aren't the same at all.
It certainly didn't affect everyone as 9 million is a fraction of the customer details they hold.
I'll look out for an email though I haven't used them for a few years now.
