Hi, any thoughts.. car been in garage for winter months usual story flat battery, fitted new battery, central locking working from the key remotely, showing key 1 on dashboard and mileage but when key is inserted into ignition and turned there are no ignition lights whatsoever and no attempt to turn engine over. Can hear cd changer doing its stuff, also electric seats work. When I fitted battery the driver side window wound down by itself and I think just driver side indicator flashed. Been inspected by auto electrician and mobile Porsche specialist, both drawn a blank after 5 hours. Have tried two second hand ignition switches with keys. HELP

Is the car not immobilised? I remember with mine there was some procedure you had to go through to start it. May be worth seeing Dr Google. Or read handbook?

There is a specific 'recommission' process, but it assumes that you can get past step 1, which is - Start the car.

Assuming the battery you've bought is okay - I'm hoping that both techs would have picked up on this if it wasn't - then I reckon you've got a duff connection at the engine end. Most likely the main earth strap. Might have been gnawed at, or was on it's way out when you parked up for the winter and this just tipped it over the edge.
