Banging / rattles from the boot

[Ahhhh-Corner!]

Over the bumps my Chimaera is making some banging / rattley noises eminating from the boot. Initially thought it was either the spare, the roof or the toolkit banging around - but sadly not.

What else is a likely cause?

Could be the diff. Have you had the mounting bolts checked for tightness?

The diff? No. If this was the problem, would there be other symptoms?

I would recommend a complete strip down of the diff and the rear suspension. The knock could be something about to break

Or it could be that yours is not the only TVR in the village and is too slow. Found you.
