Hopefully will be getting the new manifolds soon, how long does it normally take for the garage to fit them? so I can budget the cost? and also so I can determine whether its wait while they fit job?

Cheers

I remember fitting new manifolds to my Griff. If that is anything to go by I would estimate c.1.5 - 2hrs each side if everything goes reasonablly well.....

Good luck!

Hi Mike

I have just had new ACT S/S manifolds and S/S reworked 'Y' piece fitted by Austec.

They charged 2.5 hours per manifold for removal and refitting - I believe it can be a troublesome job?

My exhaust manifold gaskets are blowing as I write, if it only takes me 5h i will be a happy man. I was expecting to have to remove the engine. I wish I had forseen this and done the job when the body was off.

The cost for a garage to put on will be approx the cost as what you are paying for the manifolds.....

Agreed, it can be an absolutely bar-steward job, mine was!
Getting the dash off came a close second.
