Governing Law

I was reading some Ts&Cs to check on cancellation when I saw the following...

online contract said:

SECTION 21 - GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of company address, Durham, postcode. United Kingdom.

Just thought it was amusing if they were actually trying to say the laws of their office building was the governing law. Assume it's a typo though!

We used to catch out many suppliers as our legal people would change any T&Cs to "subject to the laws of Scotland". The estate agent arm got English people really confused but it was necessary for house sales in Scotland to protect the seller if the purchaser puled out of the deal.
