Im due to purchase a 981s soon and have been lookig into exhaust solutions (no PSE on the car in question)

The carnewal seems to be a very cost effective solution and Im sold by the reviews etc.

However I do intend on doing some trackdays and wonder if the carnewal exhaust would exceed the trackday noise limits

Id be most grateful for any input from carnewal /981 owners who have the answer to this question

Thanks in advance !

I would be very surprised if it failed track day limits as on idle and at static revs its not what i would consider loud... the bark is heard on hard acceleration or heavy engine load.

(Mine being a 3 4 987 with 981 tailpipes. 981 tails produce a deeper note than the 987 tails)

Id be most grateful for any more user experiences on this topic please....

I think an exhaust is a must for this car bit its a case of finding a solution that doesnt break the ank and still alllows for some track day fun !

A 987 is a lot quieter as stock (tailpipes won't make a db difference really) than a 981 with an exhaust.

981 with PSE will be too loud for the majority of tracks. So if the Carnewal is similar db to that, then yes it's too loud. If you're wanting to track your car, you're fortunate it has the stock exhaust in all honesty.

I saw a Youtube video some chap measured the db of his 2006 Cayman S and the level was 95db I think with the Carnwal. The Porsche Channel I think.
