I have turned the house over, the garage and the shed.
I know I 'had the key' because I drove home and the car wouldnt have without it - but can I hell find my Key.

Obvious way to find "the" key - is to buy a replacement obviously.

Is it absolutely wallet crippling for a Key and programming ? I happen to have to go to the local Audi Independent of the Gearbox oil change in the coming 1,000 miles (so five months under lockdown conditions biggrin )

What kind of costs would be expected ?
I've even said to the daughter she can have £100 if she finds them- as I imagine it is a lot more than that !

It's best to find the key.

Look in the sides, between the cushions and under your sofa. In pockets of what you were wearing. These type of places.

Have you checked the bin? That’s where I found my lost A3 key...

Last time I needed to order one it was around £160 plus coding - £30, they also removed the missing key at the same time.

Down side of seat or under it. Lots of dark gaps there. Retrace you’re steps, go out to car and walk back to house looking at ground (under car as well). Good luck

That worked with the locking wheel nut key daughter lost - found it in the handbag she never uses but had for some reason chosen to take with her when she bought new tyres. Have you looked in all your handbags?

A few days ago I lost a piece of paper with some notes on that I absolutely knew I'd put in the back pocket of my jeans when meeting an estate agent. Drove me mad until is suddenly dawned on me that I'd put a different pair of jeans on for the meeting.

Probably not the weather for it, but I have a jacket where pockets have a bit that goes backwards - it's given me palpitations several times when I've been out, reached for the keys and they're not there.

I guess a new fob will be £300ish.

Interesting - I guessed £300 too !

I was in shorts and T-shirt last time
I was with the keys- and remember unlocking the car and driving home.

Not many pockets to hide a key in !

My Rangerover will not see a key in the door pocket or tucked into the door handle if the door is open. You can probably imagine how I know : )

Keyless start not entry.

I’ll have another scour in the car (to save myself not only cash but face !) but 99% it’s not in there

Yes, it does vary though. Bmw are easier, you order the remote and the blank, it takes 1 day and no programming needed.

You will need your v5 and I.d to order one.
