Hi Guys

During the lockdown i finally got to spend some time on my cars paintwork. Treated the TTRS to a 2 stage Machine Polish with

-Meguiars M105 Ultra Cut Compound w/Meguiars DA Microfiber Cutting Pads
-Meguiars M205 Ultra Finishing Polish w/ Meguiars DA Microfiber Polishing Pads

Also applied some coating afterwards.

As i don't have any indoor space to work in , the coating i used was Cquartz Lite by CarPro. This is product is designed to be applied outdoors with no issue , and has a very quick curing time compared to some of the more expensive ceramics. Durability isn't quite as long as some of the higher end ceramics but so far i am extremely impressed with the look and the water behaviour of the car.

As someone who mainly used spray sealants and waxes i can confirm look and performance is definitely on another level to anything i used previously

Looks great.. I did the same to my Citroen and Golf recently. Hasn't rained since then! Just make sure it doesn't rain for 24 hours... Any water spots will reduce performance

I’ve been tempted to try a coating after recently machine polishing my car but same issue as you, no indoor space to do it. Didn’t realise some ceramics were suited for outdoors, I just ended up sealing with Fusso F7 coat

I go fusso with initial sealant and it can't be faulted, I've had about 5-8 coatings out of the tin so far cheaper.

Only issue is when it dries too quick and around trim where I'm getting to the had enough stage and sweating buckets after doing the rest of the car.

Not rained large amounts yet to see my beads smile

I'm tempted to get a ceramic coat on my wheels before winter.
