Why has this sold? Spec looks good, a few £,000 under list?

State of market?

Err, because no-one can go and see it if they're following the government's guidance?

Guards Red not the best colour for a Spyder either.

Hard to sell a car like that privately regardless....most people buying an £80k car will be after finance.

Or maybe it’s just a reflection of where the market really is rather than cars at dealers at premium’s to list.

Its about £3k under new list inc OTR costs..Guards Red not popular any 981 or 718 Spyders for some inexplicable reason...I think they look great in Red especially the one in the advert above..Great buy if someone sneaks in a sensible bid of £80K ..
The 'overs' market is well and truly over IMO and good riddance..Let's hope all the greedy 'flippers' will now stop trying to get the latest GT Porsches so they can land up with true enthusiasts from the outset.

Interesting that 8 of the 10 x 718 Spyders for sale just now are £100K ish. If “overs” has truly ended then there needs to be some serious readjustment by many people.....

it is for sale at list, i have just been on the configurator.
then it is six months old with 1K miles and unfortunately not the best colour for re sale.
All the other Spyder cars have been on for a long time, dealers will be back in in June and prices will have to reflect current situation, like the three year recession that is coming as indicated by the Chancellor.
It should be priced at 77K and sell at 76K in my mind.
The market is on a slide for all big ticket items.
In three and a bit months, 1st September it will be 65K sorry.
But a nice car if you like red.

Lot of speculation there, market in hiatus currently, depends if seller needs to sell, what happens to Porsche production post covid etc.

I was after a Spyder to accompany my gt4, tempted by this one at 82k - if it dropped to start with a 7 it would sell instantly imho.

Yep - GR is truly a terrible Spyder colour, be it 718 or 981. Just look at the one below. Will probably have to pay someone if I ever want to get rid wink.

Don't shoot the messenger! It's just not that popular for most buyers. I personally don't mind the colour, it's the fact that it's a convertible that means I'd never buy it laugh

Yes that looks lovely D1JOY, personally I think red looks better without black alloys and IMHO black wheels only suits white cars hence red cars with satin platinum or silver wheels look fantastic on 987,981 and 718 spyders

I think black has got to be the worse colour for a spyder and most unpopular

Totally disagree re colour Resale Red for me .Had two a 987 which I still have and a 981 which I sold and it would be RR if in the market for a 718 .A lot are in silver with the classic interior a definite no for me ,it is all down to individuals taste .we all know the market is poor at present and think for the time being overs are a big ask .. and who knows where the market will be 6 months down the line ...and there are plenty of cash buyers out there myself included .

Think the red car at 82.5k looks good compared to the gentian blue on auto trader with red roof at 89k. Think someone was on an alemageddon session before jumping on the Porsche configurator when they came up with that.

There are two for sale in that combo which is amazing given how punchy that spec is...another delivery mileage car at a dealer for £99k.

I thought you needed out of your GT4?
Do Reading still have it?

I think that looks great in guards red. As someone else commented above these mostly trade at OPCs who offer finance etc.

I don't get this. You can get finance anywhere - and MUCH cheaper than an OPC will provide. You've got to be mad to take dealer finance
