E46 front tapping noise?

Have a weird tapping noise that sounds as if it’s coming from the front but can’t exactly pin point where it’s coming from,

It taps driving straight and turning left, when turning right it completely stops was wondering if anyone had any idea as what it could be? I’ve checked the control arms and tie rods so far and all seem ok, any ideas?

Does the tap relate to road speed; taps faster as you go faster?

Does the noise change based on road surface or bumps/potholes?
