A Covid-19 Cure

I've been telling people since february and nobody has said it would not work. In january i was wondering why we weren't locking areas down and supporting them. My location doesn't matter but it's the UK, our chief medical officer uses bs language like split definitives when he is supposed to be the smartest medical mind available. There is no immunity. I do not like this person smiling as people die, us being referred to as cattle or being told i will become immune after getting sick and hopefully recovering when immunity is not possible. We are being fed to the virus which is incredibly dangerous as it could mutate to become much worse, it could however also mutate and chill like influenza did after a few years. Risking the population is not a smart idea. I do not do any forms of social media to get this idea out. I used to lurk on this forum a lot in my teens and remember many smart people from different walks of life being here so thought i should make an account and post. There is no medicine needed, logic and common sense is enough. This is just a brief as i can only log in on my phone.
I'll start with reductio ad absurdum. People infect people. If everyone sat in a room alone for a month with food and water by the end of the month there should be no infectious people.
Realistically that would not happen. We need a phased quarantine. P1 the vast majority of people would stay at home, i repeat, stay at home, none of this dumb walking around infecting each other while smiling and saying how crazy this is. No going to the shops, park or walking a dog (i love dogs, they'll be fine inside for a month just like humans). People in lock during P1 by themself could be free at the end of the month, groups with no infections would be the same. Groups that faced an infection would need their lock extended.
During P1 only emergency vehicles would be on the road plus VITAL work needed to repair the functionality of water, sewage, gas and electric to keep people home. There would be no travel for anyone else. Anyone outside aside from these would be arrested and put in forced lockdown through the current phase and next one, plus IMO jail time afterwards for something along the lines of attempted murder so people don't be dumb. If you staying at work would be of benefit then you set your place of work up as your temporary home, that would have to be for water, sewage, gas, electric and emergency services at minimum. These people could go home but anyone in their home would need to stay home for P1 and P2, it would be significantly harder to police the roads with these people moving around which is why i said could and not should or would. I think you under estimate just how many people need to work just to keep the country running. What about the supply of PPE? We get the majority of it from abroad, so that means docks and airports need to stay open and for them to stay open they need to be staffed. How does the PPE get to hospitals? They need to be taken to warehouses so they can be sorted to be taken to every hospital. That means haulage companies have to stay open. Don’t you see that there’s a very big list of companies that need to stay open?
You can only have a complete lockdown you’d like if the public are willing to obey it, as the public vastly outnumber the police. What would happen if 10 million people disobey the lockdown rules?
Yes, people can catch Coronavirus twice but the second time shouldn’t be as bad, as the body produces antibodies to Covid-19. How long the antibodies are there for isn’t known at the moment.

On your last point - look at the statistics, no one say's it only kills the old, they say it mostly kills the old.
The rest needs more work, I don't think you've thought it through.
There are so many problems in your plan I don't even know where to begin.
Where is all this food coming from given the limited groups you say can go to work? Who is delivering this food to c60m people? Who is going to look after the children of the workers who are 'allowed' to go to work? If my heating breaks who is going to fix it? Who is going to staff airports to deal with the vast amounts of air freight that comes in every day? Who is going to maintain the communication infrastructure while everyone is locked up?
A large number of businesses have been allowed to stay open because you simply cannot just shut them down.
We also don't live in a closed system so as soon as you move onto later phases, there would just be a massive spike.

The point at which the full effect of the virus came to be understood was roughly two months after it first infected a human being. Even then, knowledge was sketchy and still is. In normal times, studies into viral infection run on 10 year cycles. At the moment, we're cramming those 10 years of research into weeks which means that knowledge about Covid is growing at an exponential rate. The decisions made in January and February were probably the right ones then, even if they have since proven to be wanting.
Your point about mass and total isolation is, effectively, what we've had. As mentioned above, you have greatly underestimated the number of people needed to run things even at the most basic of levels. We still need things imported. Planes still need to fly. Waste still needs to be collected. Energy still needs to be generated. Plus, what you propose would require a great deal of institutional administration and organisation meaning more people being classed as 'key-workers' as there is at the moment thus negating any benefit.
Despite the press eagerly showing examples of people ignoring the directive, the reality is that the vast majority of people have stayed inside which is why we're now in the beginning of the end phase.
There is also a point at which the prevention becomes more deadly. Firstly, the strain on mental health from being cooped up is huge. Even for those of normal sane mind. For those with pre-existing conditions, it's genuinely life threatening. There is also the need to protect the economy. A report from the IFS recently stated that more people could die from poverty related issued caused by elongated economic downturn that would result from a harder and longer lockdown than from Covid.
And lastly, you have personal choice. If you feel the only way to protect yourself is to stay permanently indoors, you can. There is no legal obligation for you to take your daily walk.

So every time you needed food, both the person delivering it and you would need to extend your lockdown period. There is no medicine needed, logic and common sense is enough. This is just a brief as i can only log in on my phone.
I'll start with reductio ad absurdum. People infect people. If everyone sat in a room alone for a month with food and water by the end of the month there should be no infectious people.
Realistically that would not happen. We need a phased quarantine. P1 the vast majority of people would stay at home, i repeat, stay at home, none of this dumb walking around infecting each other while smiling and saying how crazy this is. No going to the shops, park or walking a dog (i love dogs, they'll be fine inside for a month just like humans). People in lock during P1 by themself could be free at the end of the month, groups with no infections would be the same. Groups that faced an infection would need their lock extended.
During P1 only emergency vehicles would be on the road plus VITAL work needed to repair the functionality of water, sewage, gas and electric to keep people home. There would be no travel for anyone else. Anyone outside aside from these would be arrested and put in forced lockdown through the current phase and next one, plus IMO jail time afterwards for something along the lines of attempted murder so people don't be dumb. If you staying at work would be of benefit then you set your place of work up as your temporary home, that would have to be for water, sewage, gas, electric and emergency services at minimum. These people could go home but anyone in their home would need to stay home for P1 and P2, it would be significantly harder to police the roads with these people moving around which is why i said could and not should or would. Those working through P1 would need to split themselves, a group would sit out P1 then take over in P2, those working in P1 could go into lock during P2. 24 hour call for a month while never leaving work would be a nightmare, tough, it'd save many lives.
A P3 and possibly beyond would hopefully just be for medical staff. Those released from their phase should still follow basic methods such as social distancing and wearing masks until a vaccine is available.

If people could get food and stay inside then this would work right? If this was implemented instead of the half measure we're doing now most people would have been back to normal a month ago. Instead we seem fine killing each other for as long as it takes to come up with a vaccine which is not proving easy. I've spoken to someone trying to create a vaccine and they still don't even know what they're looking at as the samples they receive are all different. That is only 1 person in 1 lab so take a truck of salt.
Please tell me this would not work so i can stop feeling so crazy, alternatively work on the idea here and help get it in motion. This just needs food, coordination and people to STAY INSIDE. The virus may not disappear but at the minimum it would be a reset to the start and save potentially tens of thousands of lives just this year in this country vs our current method where so many people are just running around like it's an extended weekend. The same may need to be done again before a vaccine comes out. If it happens i would happily help anywhere in any way that would be beneficial, if that was sleeping at a sewage works so be it.
ETA. This does not just kill old or already vulnerable people. I know of a otherwise healthy 36 year old who caught it, was ill for a few weeks, had 5 negative tests showing he was over it, 2 weeks later he was sick again, less than a month after his 5 negative tests he was dead. You can get sick again straight away before your body has recovered increasing the chance of death.

Are you sure about that? There's hundreds if not thousands of medical scientists around the world working on the very concept of immunity, and I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that they're probably more knowledgeable about the subject matter than you are.
