Quick question.

Looking at a watch, dealer is part of the Chrono24 escrow service, not used this before.

Before I click submit order, I assume this happens automatically once I do?

I used it for a breitling I bought back in November. Initially I was a little nervous too having never used either Chrono24 or escrow. However I'd heard lots of good things about Chrono so gave it a go.

You and the dealer/seller agree a price then if I remember rightly you click on accept offer and you go through to a page to enter your payment details into. At that point you make a payment into escrow. Chrono tell the seller that they have funds in escrow and can release the watch.

Once you receive the watch and you're happy with it you can instruct chrono to release the funds.

For me it was worth using this as although I'd negotiated £1k off the watch in a store in the uk, an Italian seller had it for £2.5k less!

Hope that helps.

It does, thanks.

Just need to double, triple, check that they will use Fedex door to door, will message them on that today as the postal system here is next to useless.

I'll get pinged on import duty unless I can ask them to be a little dishonest on the value but the price is acceptable even taking into account.

Declared value will limit insurance value, so be careful and dont be surprised if they wont have it.
