Pricey but looks exactly what I want. A mint original 2.5. Not too interested in a 3.2S.
It’s 320 miles away however.
Thoughts?

Plus sides are it looks very good condition...from the pics...not that many miles done..
Negatives are it’s only done 33000 miles in 20 odd years, has it had the IMS done?..
£9000 is a lot of money for one...
Mine is a 3.2 Y reg and i paid a fraction under £9000 2 years ago with 70000 odd miles but with Hartech rebuild done...thought i paid top dollar then so....
Def don’t buy without seeing it and budget for some painful work...
300 miles is along way to go!! but if it’s what you want?...YOLO...

Yup - I think the IMS is a non issue on the 2.5.
I had a 2.5 and it was awesome but I would struggle to pay 9k for one. Mine had 60k miles and a full service history and I paid £4750.
Plus, regardless of miles, at 20+ years old, it's going to need various rubber parts replaced.
I'd just buy a cheaper one and then spend the money refreshing the stuff that needs refreshing

Get it purchased!
Looks fantastic, plus dealer sale so some type of warranty must be on the table.
I purchased a similar car end of last year, same mileage and it’s been spot on.
Very nice options on the car listed and even at £9k it’s less than what some people spend on options on a new Boxster.
Buy it, enjoy driving it and make some memories .

That looks great to me and has some nice options.
It's hard to value, as there are not many around with such low mileage & condition.
- but looks sensibly priced against the 3.2S that sold recently on Collecting Cars for 11,978 (incl buyers premium)

OP - there is another low miles 2.5 on Autotrader.
Yes, one or two, eg the one in Thirsk, but I liked the spec of this one.Re the garage ornament comments I have to say it would get used but it would have to look good also. I just couldn’t drive a beater even if it did offer the same experience.
Pretty remarkable high spec. on that low miles Boxster. Would be interesting to know if it was all original i.e. the three-spoke steering wheel is rarely seen on the 2.5L...
Given the high spec, curious to see that the centre console is not there as it was a cheap option that most went for (even if it is so much better without it)
Agree that the BOX plate does nothing for it but what's making my teeth itch is that the rear plate is fixed about 1cm too high and the front PU needs adjusting as the gap between it and the leading edge of the bonnet is too big.
Lovely car though - if only the interior was Boxster Red!

If I could stretch to it I would buy the best I could get hold of.
The first Boxster in very good original condition with a spec that you love could be a wonderful car to own ...
The wheels are nice as well ... colour good ... I haven't looked at the spec or service history ... but if it's full and has a guarantee to cover anything that you find needs doing ( I would look carefully at radiators / aircon condensers / discs / lower control arm bushes / exhaust boxes / hood drain pipes and ANY evidence of water damage or corrosion) I think it could be money in the bank.
