Local clear coat repair DIY. Possible?

My 911 is ready for a nose job really, but it's not immaculate anymore and I don't want to spend that sort of money on it currently.

The main areas of tat are two or three areas where the clear coat has peeled. Is there any way I can repair it myself, or will I just make it look worse?

Which is about removing something sticky, if I am not very much mistaken.

But having taken another look at the topics below I see a Jonny Gets Cash Youtube link, is that what you're referring to?

Edited to add that if it is, I don't have that kit and I wonder whether a smart repairer would be prepared to have a stab.
