Recommendations after reading Four Stroke Performance Tuning
Discussion
I'm currently reading Four Stroke Performance Tuning (FSPT). I have really enjoyed reading about changes made to components like the plenum, manifold, exhaust and the resulting performance improvements, the science behind fuels, exhaust pulse waves etc.
I'd like to learn more about these topics, along with some others.
Could anyone recommend books or videos which cover:
-Fuels (chemistry behind developing efficient fuels)
-Tyres (chemistry of the compounds and possibly the physics regarding friction/kinematics)
-Aerodynamics (very interested in changing shape to improve airflow and temperatures)
-Engine performance (alterations/design improving performance etc)
-Exhaust performance (design of manifolds to improve performance, pulse waves etc)
-Suspension and the physics behind how this improves performance
(Open to other topics I haven't listed)

For engines, Heywood's Internal Combustion Engine Fundamentals is the 'bible' albeit becoming slightly dated but principles never change.
The Bosch Automotive handbook has always been good.
Ultimately, work your way through an Automotive engineering degree.
In any case, education and practical experience are not mutually exclusive.
Cheers, H.
