Hi there.
I need to rub down and respect my sons fiesta side skirt after he scratched it.

Where is the best place to get the spray paint from please. Possibly on line.

(Primer, Base coat, lacquer)

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

Any local car paint supplier, should be able to mix it all up and pour it into aerosols for you. 2k lacquer is best but has a very short life when put into an aerosol. Use the same day, so get your timings right, and don’t breathe the mist in.

I wouldn`t bother.

I would remove the skirt from the car, do as much prep/repairs as you are able to and then drop it in to a local bodyshop for paint.

I did this with the rear bumper from my daughters Micra when she ttted it.

Took a few hours with a sander and some wet n dry and £60 to repaint it locally, dark grey metallic colour.

Good as new, no way could I have achieved the same finish at home.

Many paintshops won't spray bodywork they haven't prep'd - as they can't guarantee the finish will be to their standard. They then end up having to sand it all back and start again...

On one occasion when I simply wanted a bit of rough bodywork cheaply blown over, I said to the painter I could flat it back as I wasn't too bothered about the finish. He said he could prep it quicker and better than I could for £25. I let him do it!
