2nd bank holiday in a row I'm getting paid 2p per KWh for all electricity used on the Octopus Go tariff.
I'm glad it's a bit cooler this weekend as last time it got pretty hot in the house with tumble dryer, electric heaters, dish washer, iron, immersion heater, oven and all lights turned on for 2 hours.
And yes, my car was charging after I'd run it down to near empty over the previous couple of days.

I’m very interested - I hadn’t heard of Agile before, just collected a Model 3 on Wednesday so will be changing tariffs once the charger is installed. I was looking at Go, but I can’t see it makes financial sense with only 4 hours of cheaper energy.
Any positives or negatives for the Agile plan? I see it’s compatible with IFTTT - I assume charging can be configured to start once electricity has dropped below a certain rate?

Agile has been crazy cheap since lockdown. Industry using less electricity means less demand so the price has dropped.
When it goes back to normal, Go was a very similar price to Agile for me (I cook on electricity) but until we go back, I’ll enjoy the cheaper rates.
Go may only be 4 hours but that’s circa 28kwh a night so I guess close to 100 miles a day in a Model 3 which is more than enough for most people.

Go is pretty good. Four hours of very cheap and dependably priced electricity each night - at 7kWh that's probably at least 100miles of range put in. The daytime price is reasonable too, I think.
Over the last six months about 48% of our total electrical consumption has been made on the overnight, cheap rate. It's saved a considerable amount.
Agile prices per half hour period, and I suspect that overall it might save a little bit more in "normal" times. At the moment it would probably save quite a bit more as demand and therefore price is suppressed. So long as you can defer usage from 4pm to 7pm you'd probably be on a winner, as that's the most expensive part of the day.

People have had success asking them for compensation due to the delays.I've been waiting for a smart meter ever since and find the appointments constantly full.
I wanted to move to Octopus this year but no point until I have the meters sorted.

Think I requested to switch in late Feb / early MarchOK just phoned them and apparently the switchover failed because their system reports lack of WAN coverage in my postcode.
I've asked more about the cellular carriers they use because I get good signals on most of them.
Would be very annoying not to be able to get this....

I go live with Agile on Friday, my meters were upgraded to smart to try to get on a cheap tariff a few years ago but the installer kept messing things up and I gave up. Hope the meters work going to save me a fortune, Leaf, hot tub, 2 dishwashers and 6 people in the house. Not to mention the aircon.....
finally got onto Agile a couple of weeks ago and over the weekend the long awaited plunge pricing email arrived!!
Charged my Leaf 40 during the two negative periods so went from 49% to 97% ….and paid to do so!!
took a long time to get the switch to Agile, had to keep emailing and chasing up...the IHD still shows some weird numbers for cost/usage but I've been checking the app and it seems pretty accurate.

I had Smart Meters installed yesterday but now being told I need Economy 7 as well.
