Apologies if this theme has been discussed before, but what are the terms and length of warranty provided with a TVR?
With respect to used TVR's, I presume a used TVR under warranty bought at one dealer, can be serviced under warranty at another dealer? or are they a bit funny about this?

On new TVR's the Rover engined cars get a 12 month bumper to bumper, the TVR engined cars get 24 months bumper to bumper.
Used cars vary, some dealers will offer you a 3 month running gear warranty and some will offer bumper to bumper.
Then of course there is extended warranty.
On 2nd hand motors its the dealer that offers the warranty not the factory so the supplying dealer is the only one who will honour the work.

yes hatchn is correct on Cerbs, Tuscans, and Tamoras, you get 12 months on the car, and 24 months on the engine.
If you buy a used car from a main dealer you will probably get a Warranty Holdings warranty, on first glance it appears to be a TVR warranty, IT IS NOT! be very careful as in my experience with a Griff and a Tuscan, there are lots of exclusions, for example electrics and wiring is not covered, which is not good news if you have got a TVR, also I found that they will query everyting, and you have to fight tooth and nail to get paid out, if the dealer does not support you (which bear in mind they often don't as they will get paid about half there standard hourly labour cost from WH) things can get very difficult.
TVR do sell a factory warranty for approx £1000 whcih is bumper to bumper, but approx twice the cost of a WH policy.

That's not right is it? My secondhand warranty is a Warranty Holdings one. I can go to any outfit authorised to do warranty work as far as I know. Bought my car from Kings and had a new cam at TVR Power...paid for by WH.
