Weber Smokey Mountain Stock
Discussion
Hi,
After reading on here and a few other places I fancy picking up a 47CM WSM, just can't find one in stock to deliver to Essex/London
I can find the 57CM, but for the two of us and occasional guests if I feel that might be over kill.
anyone know anywhere that has the 47CM in stock, or is the 57CM worth it? My understanding is that the 47CM seals better and is more fuel efficient, unless was hosting parties all the time where the space of the 57CM might be worth it?
Thanks

I hadn’t considered the ProQ. I’ll look into it.
Never owned a Weber and I appreciate them command a premium for the name but I’ve only heard good things about their quality and surviving outside in all climates.
I am itching to buy the 57 with the notion of bigger is better and because I’m being impatient

It seems some think I have too many webers, all are 57 that includes my WSM, it takes up roughly the same size space as a water butt, I don't find it too hard to do small cooks on it, but it is great for a whole brisket and pork butt.
Also it's great for hanging ribs too.
Wow, looks really good. Is that meat from a local butcher? Also it's great for hanging ribs too.
Making me want one even more now

Yes it is, I am really lucky with my local farm shop in Cornwall, and good old fashioned butchers, I am also lucky that I can use them, not as cheap as supermarkets, but I have taken time to talk to my butchers learnt from them about meat and cuts, now it's just part of the cook talking to them as I buy.Making me want one even more now
I have a 57 kettle too, with rotisserie, they are happy to help me with cutting a pocket in beef if I chose to do a roast with blue cheese in the pocket, will cut and mince what I ask for.
I am very lucky to have a old fashioned butcher so I use it.
Do it, it's fun, its easy and with some books to read you'll be cooking all different things, low and slowed a shoulder of lamb, oh it was great. Mutton is good, stronger taste. And maple and rum injected ham..
That’s handy. Our local butchers closed sadly.
Seen a few places recommend online on the woodsmoke forum.
I found a 47CM in stock and when I enquired they wanted £50 to deliver it 20 miles so I declined.
Usually they offer free delivery over £250 but were only doing local at the moment.
